XLBet.ATS victorious against MYM

While most eyes are pointed towards the Global Challenge in Dubai, a Extreme Masters III match took place at the Global Challenge in Dubai.

The match was a group B match, MYM taking on XLBet.ATS. MYM had before been playing close matches against ArcadioN and co., which should once again be an interesting match to watch. Starting with the pre-defined map inferno, a first half ended in one round difference between the two, as XLBet.ATS won 8:7 as terrorist. As CT the Danes did not give one single round, as they took eight straight rounds to secure a 16:7 victory on inferno.



Onto MYM’s map nuke. MYM started on the weaker T side, but played it as a dominant force. Pulling impressive twelve rounds as terrorists on nuke, made it hard for XLBet.ATS to keep their hopes for a win realistic. No miracles happened to XLBet.ATS and MYM could take second half 4:6, winning 16:9 overall on nuke.

Third and deciding map should be train. Once again MYM started on the weaker T side, but once again, the Polish team played an outstanding terrorist side. Notable would be LUq’s 4v1 with 23hp and an AWP. MYM locked down first half 12:3 as terrorist on train, which should have secured them the win. Nothing is however given before the match has come to an end, which XLBet.ATS clearly taught MYM.
An important terrorist pistol round win from XLBet.ATS started what MYM least expected.  XLBet.ATS did exactly to MYM, what the Poles had just done to the Danes. The Danes kept taking the bombspots as was it a walk in the park, leading with ArcadioN, trace and Friis as dominant players.
With a 12:3 terrorist side, XLBet.ATS secured themselves 3points, a winand bigger chances of advancing from the Extreme Masters III Main Round.
